Former University of Hawaii at Hilo basketball player Aukai Wong will hold basketball clinics in Hilo from 5:45-7:45 p.m. on seven Sundays — June 22, 29, July 6, July 13, July 20, July 27 and Aug. 3.
There are two divisions, one for intermideiate boys and girls and another for high school boys and girls, and one hour will be devoted to a study session with another on “intense” basketball drills.
There is limited space, and Wong is looking for sponsors. A T-shirt, drinks and a snack are included at each clinic.

Honokaa seeking
several coaches
Honokaa High is accepting coaching applications in the following sports: softball, boys volleyball, boys and girls tennis, boys and girls judo and boys and girls track and field.
Applications are available at the school’s main office from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the deadline to a turn them in is June 13.

Brantley Center
golf benefit
The Brantley Center is hosting its 36th annual golf tournament benefit June 22 at Waikoloa Village Golf Course.
The format is two-person best ball.
Proceeds will benefit adults with disabilities who participate in various rehab programs offered at the nonprofit center.

Following the tournament, there will be a luncheon, auction, and prizes at Banjys Paradise Bar and Grill in Waikoloa.
Kamehameha volleyball camp
The Kamehameha-Hawaii volleyball team is hosting an “All Day, All Night, All Volleyball” boys and girls camp at Koaia Gym in Keaau.
The sleep-over camp for high school students will be held Sunday-Thursday, with registration starting at 3 p.m. Sunday. The head clinician will be coach Guy Enriques and the cost is $145, which includes all meals.
A camp for students completing grades 2-8 will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday at a cost of $100. Early check-in begins at 8 a.m
According to a release, the major focus for day campers is the development of basic volleyball skills (communication, ball control, teamwork), and the camp will include mini-games and tournaments. Having fun and developing a passion for the game is the overall goal. For high school players, the emphasis is on advanced skill development through competitive drills, coaching techniques, and game-like competition. Communication and teamwork are a major focus.
